We are looking for an experienced Reservoir Engineer to support the development of geothermal energy projects in Poland. In this role, you will translate geological data and subsurface uncertainties into reliable reservoir performance forecasts, providing critical input on flow rates, temperature, and pressure to optimize project development. You will work closely with multidisciplinary teams, including geologists, drilling engineers, and project managers, contributing throughout the entire project lifecycle.
Key Responsibilities
- Evaluate geothermal reservoir performance and assess subsurface uncertainties.
- Support the planning, design, and drilling of geothermal wells, including data acquisition strategies and well completion selection.
- Collaborate with geology and drilling teams to obtain regulatory approvals and permits for geothermal well operations in Poland.
- Plan, execute, and interpret well testing programs to assess reservoir productivity and performance.
- Perform flow rate calculations and reservoir performance analyses to support development planning.
- Provide technical recommendations based on reservoir engineering studies and operational data.
- Contribute to forecasting activities and improve data-driven decision-making using engineering software and analytical tools.
Requirements
- Around 5 years of experience in Reservoir Engineering or Production Technology, preferably within the geothermal sector.
- Strong understanding of fluid flow dynamics in subsurface reservoirs and reservoir uncertainty.
- Hands-on operational experience with drilling, logging, and testing geothermal or similar wells in Poland.
- Experience with Polish regulatory processes related to geothermal projects, including PRG submissions.
- Fluent in both Polish and English.
Nice to Have
- Experience with reservoir data management software such as OFM or similar platforms.
- Advanced Excel skills, including VBA, or experience with Python for data analysis, forecasting, and handling large datasets.
