Our client is an international investor in renewable energy projects, working with innovative technologies, apart from solar or wind. In this position you will be based in Montevideo, Uruguay, but work in international projects across LATAM. Please note we are looking only for Uruguayan citizens for this position.
The Engineer will take a large a principal role of management control and project development, and the secondary role on the support of the renewable hybrid plants to produce green hydrogen and ammonia and must be familiar with all aspects of projects development and construction: site selection, wind campaigns, legal compliance with environmental constraints, analysis and negotiation of contracts, management control and project planning.
The Engineer will collaborate in all the necessary tasks to obtain all the permits, authorizations and licenses necessary to put the projects into operation. In addition, the engineer will carry out all management control, planning and budget control, along with carrying out internal/external reporting tasks.
The Engineer will collaborate and management of the necessary studies and advice (engineering, legal, fiscal, electrical connection, environmental impact, land, etc.) in the project promotion phase. Management of subcontractors and relations with public administrations and affected organizations, ensuring correct contractual, technical and economic management of projects, assuming the achievement of established objectives.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Support in the obtention of permits, licenses and authorizations for the development of the projects
- Collaboration of RfP documentation for equipment acquisition and contract agreements. Management of the RfP process.
- Develop exhaustive management control of all aspects of the project.
- Collaborate in the financial planning of the budget and its updates.
- Plan and develop Project Committee Development meetings, DevCo.
- Study and analysis of suppliers offers
- Analysis of repercussions of the environmental impact studies on project design, construction and operation.
- Provide technical support during the financing of the projects, including the auditing of third-party reports and engineering documents
- Review civil design, engineering, or construction technical documentation to ensure compliance with applicable government or industrial codes, standards, requirements, or regulations, as well as country hydrogen policies
- Provide technical support during construction of projects including follow up of budgeting and costs, with the actions required for commissioning of the projects
- Provide technical support during the operation of the projects, helping in the analysis of the performance of the plant.
- Have a deep knowledge of regulation applicable to hydrogen plants as well as the planning implications in Latam.
WHO WE ARE LOOKING FOR:
- Minimum Qualifications:
Industrial,Mechanic or Electrical Engineer; MSc Renewable Energy preferred. - Minimum Experience:

- Expertise on software related to wind and PV analysis, hybrid systems and energy modeling
