Our client is one of the leading geothermal hearting companies and currently they are developing their operations in Poland. For their growing team, we are looking for a Permitting and Site Preparation Manager.
Job description:
As a Permitting and Site Preparation Manager, you will be responsible for developing potential sites for geothermal heating plants in Poland – from identifying possible areas and plots to handing over the site to the operations organization. This work includes planning, preparing and obtaining relevant permits and setting up the construction site for drilling geothermal wells and building the associated geothermal heating plant. You will therefore play a key role in driving and executing projects from start to finish through all phases of the projects.
You will be centrally located at the company’s Polish office and have close dialogue with the project manager as well as broad contact with close colleagues. Additionally, you will work with several specialist functions, primarily based at the headquarters. These include technical areas such as geoscience, drilling, engineering and construction as well as support departments such as procurement, finance, HR, and legal.
Furthermore, many of your tasks will include collaboration with local Polish contractors when applying for various relevant permits, as well as having contact with relevant authorities and utility companies.
The work is carried out in our Plots, Permits, and Sites (PPS) unit in close cooperation with colleagues from the Commercial Department at the office.
Qualifications:
- Relevant education as an engineer in civil/construction or environmental engineering
- At least 5-10 years of experience in a project organization
- A pragmatic and commercial mindset
- Experience with project planning
- Experience with spatial planning, environmental and construction permitting (processes and deliverables)
- Experience in managing multiple public stakeholders
- Willingness to learn and take on new tasks, with clear deadlines
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
- Ability to juggle many tasks simultaneously
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- To succeed in this role, it is important that you are proactive, have a drive to succeed, and the ability to work both independently and in teams.
Requirements:
- Experience with modern planning tools
- Proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint at a high level
- English proficiency in writing and speaking (working language)
- Domiciled and with working experience in Poznan
- Willingness to travel (within Poland and to Denmark
