Our client is a project development vehicle, part of a large investment holding focused on renewable energy projects in Poland and the rest of the world. For their local team we are now looking for a Head of Acquisition.


As the Head of Acquisition, your primary responsibility is to support the strategic growth initiatives of the company within the Polish energy industry. Your focus on executing transactions for utility-scale RtB PV solar projects that were originated by our Business Development teams. You will also integrate those RtB projects as well as our own developed projects into the organization for an efficient EPC process. Key duties and responsibilities include:

  • Strategy Development: Develop a comprehensive acquisition strategy that aligns with the company’s overall growth objectives and targets; identify, evaluate, and manage various acquisition channels; manage acquisition budgets, allocating resources effectively across different channels to maximize returns
  • Team Leadership: Manage and lead a team of acquisition specialists, providing guidance, training, and support to ensure the team’s performance meets or exceeds targets.
  • Market Research: Conduct market research to identify new customer segments, trends, and opportunities, providing valuable insights to inform industry acquisition strategies. Develop and maintain strategic partnerships and affiliate relationships to expand the company’s reach and access new customer pools.
  • Reporting and Analysis: Provide regular reports and updates to senior management on the performance of acquisition campaigns, key metrics, and actionable insights.
    • For the legal DD, you work closely with our Legal teams in Warsaw and London as well as with best-in-class M&A RES law firm.
    • The technical DD requires close cooperation with our Engineering teams, which will help optimize the design/ engineerting concept for achieving the best energy yield at the lowest cost possible.
    • On the commercial side, the DD is rund hand-in-hand with our CFO organization the and London-based Structured Finance team.
      • Compliance and Legal Considerations: Ensure all acquisition activities adhere to relevant regulations, industry standards, and data protection policies.

      These tasks include the full legal, commercial and technical Due Diligence processes:

  • Ultimately, you work will strongly define our projects’ business cases. Lastly, you take viable projects to be presented to Company’s shareholders for the Final Investment Decision.

    Projects with FID then need to be integrated into organization. Since early involvement of our key people is key, this process starts already prior to FID, but is then accelerated. It includes Engineering and Finance with the DD, but also Procurement, Construction and O&M.

    Overall, as the Head of Acquisition, you play a critical role in driving the company’s growth by acquiring new projects efficiently and cost-effectively. Your leadership, analytical skills, and ability to leverage data-driven insights will be essential in achieving acquisition targets and positioning the company for sustained success in the Polish energy market.


  • 5-10 years of M&A/business development experience with main focus on Polish energy market,
  • Proven track record in M&A and deal making
  • Proven experience in managing teams of people
  • Problem-solver, pro-active and results-oriented
  • Proven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
  • Graduate degree in business, finance or engineering
  • Business fluency in Polish and English
