To strengthen our onshore wind development teams and launch activity for the photovoltaic sector, we are looking for a Wind and photovoltaic project environmental manager for our Warsaw offices.
Mission:
Support to the fulfillment of the objectives set for the country by the Company in terms of capacity installed in onshore technologies (wind, PV and storage):
Implement the growth paths that best suit the local market, complying with all of company’s internal policies (profitability, compliance, quality standards, etc.) and within the integration with the holding or sub-holding of the Group that may be in the country.
Duties :
The objective is to ensure the quality of the ecological component of impact studies and regulatory monitoring of the RES projects related any environmental issue.
Main missions:
Scope of responsibilities:
- Evaluation of the ecological/environmental context at the stage of the prospection and identification of potential sites and the reflection on the implementation of the winds and photovoltaic power plants.
- Supporting project development at pre-investment and execution phases of development process in respect of environmental studies and environmental protection solutions according the polish regulation.
- Assure the coherence and the quality of the environmental documents produced.
In coordination with the project development managers as well as with the technical teams, you provide environmental solutions from a very early phase. Your role will revolve around the following missions:
- Preparation of Project Information Cards (Karta Informacyjna Projektu) for RE investments as well as overseeing the procedure for the issuance of Environmental Decision for both Wind and PV investments
- Detailed assessment of project documentation relating to environmental protection, which has need prepared externally for the purpose of OOŚ as well a leading discussions with external partners regarding the scope and finding included in such documentation
- Monitoring and assessment of environmental protection risks that might affect investment process.
- Participation in spatial planning activities within the scope of responsibilities
- Maintaining good relations with relevant stakeholders and actors within the scope of
responsibility.
- Liaising with external service providers if needed and ensuring that the scope and
quality of services provided by them on the basis of service contracts is adequate for the purpose of efficient development of investment projects, as well as management of such service contracts.
- Performing due diligence reviews and providing support during acquisition transaction in relation to environmental protection matters.
- Preparation and monitoring of budgets relating to environmental protection
- Ongoing monitoring and analysis on legislative background within the scope of
responsibilities that might affect the feasibility of investment projects.
Experience, skills
- Education: Degree in Environment Protection or similar
- Practical experience in preparation of legal and formal documentation for the purpose
of obtaining administrative decision relating to environmental protection
- Practical experience of at least 3 years in similar functions ideally acquired during
employment in, developer, energy specialist, IPP, etc.
- Knowledge of Polish regulations and standards regarding the environmental.
- Languages: Good level in English; Spanish is a plus.
- Proven experience in authorization procedures for utility-scale PV and wind-projects
- Desired qualities: Very good interpersonal skills, autonomy, aptitude for teamwork,
capacity for synthesis, involvement and rigor, efficiency, ability to carry out several missions at the same time, high sense of responsibility, enthusiasm, and spirit of initiative.
- Ability to travel required occasionally
- Driving License B required
