Construction Quality Supervisor
The Construction Quality Supervisor is responsible for ensuring the highest standards of quality and compliance during the construction phase of renewable energy projects, including wind, solar, and hydroelectric developments. The role involves monitoring construction activities, conducting inspections, and ensuring that all works comply with project specifications, applicable standards, and Romanian regulations.
Key Responsibilities
- Supervise quality control activities on renewable energy construction sites, including wind farms, solar parks, and hydroelectric projects.
- Monitor construction works to ensure compliance with project specifications, technical documentation, industry standards, and Romanian construction regulations.
- Conduct regular site inspections, audits, and quality tests of materials and workmanship.
- Work closely with project managers, engineers, contractors, and subcontractors to identify and resolve quality-related issues.
- Prepare detailed inspection reports and maintain accurate quality documentation for internal records and external audits.
- Ensure compliance with environmental and health & safety requirements applicable to renewable energy construction projects.
- Implement and maintain Quality Management Systems (QMS) in accordance with company procedures and international standards, including ISO 9001.
- Provide guidance and training to construction teams on quality requirements and best practices.
- Participate in project meetings, providing quality-related recommendations and supporting risk mitigation activities.
- Coordinate corrective and preventive actions, monitoring their implementation and effectiveness.
- Keep up to date with developments in construction quality management, renewable energy technologies, and Romanian legislation.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, Environmental Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related technical field.
- Minimum 3 years of experience as a Quality Supervisor, Quality Inspector, or in a similar qualityassurance role within construction projects, preferably in renewable energy or conventional power generation.
- Good knowledge of Romanian construction regulations, technical standards, and environmental requirements.
- Familiarity with Quality Management Systems, particularly ISO 9001.
- Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and problem-solving abilities.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to work effectively with multidisciplinary teams.
- Ability to work independently in dynamic, outdoor construction environments.
- Fluency in Romanian and English, both written and spoken.
- Valid driving license and willingness to travel between project sites.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in international renewable energy projects.
- Knowledge of construction health and safety management systems.
- Professional certification in Quality Management, Quality Control, or Project Management.
