Our client is one of the leaders in wind energy, and one of the largest producers of equipment as well as EPCM turnkey and O&M services in the world. Currently for their global HQ in Hamburg, we are looking for a Contract Manager for Eastern Europe that will also support the New Markets entry in other locations. Your main responsibilities in this position will be:
- Contract Management of mainly complex, large scale international wind energy projects in cooperation with the responsible project manager and commercial project manager.
- Administrate the contracts with customers and subcontractor during the execution of the projects and securing the company’ contractual position, issuing notices under the contract and preparing claims under the contract
- Advise the project team on contractual issues and offering solutions
- Involvement in the tender phase with Balance of Plant sub-contractors (civil and electrical) including customization of standard Key Terms for RfQ’s
- Customize standard BoP sub-contracts according to the project specific requirements and support negotiations
- Provide and administrate contract management tools / standard forms to support project teams
- Raise contractual awareness across the project teams,
- Ad hoc contract analysis upon request
- Contribute lessons learned reviews and provide feedback to Sales, Legal and Tender Management departments
YOUR PROFILE:
- Minimum Bachelor’s degree in law or quantity surveying or other relevant degree in combination with experience of contract administration and management on international construction / plant projects
- Experience working with international standard forms of contract; FIDIC Yellow and Silver Book projects preferred
- Experience in the construction industry, ideally wind power, preferred
- Excellent communication skills
- Willingness to travel to project sites or regional offices as required
- Fluent in English (add other language if required)
- Ability to work in multinational teams
