SITE MANAGER SOLAR PV

Our client is one of the international leaders in large scale solar PV development and construction. For their EPC team we are now looking for a Site Manager ideally with an electrical or mechanical engineering profile.

The main functions of the role include:

The Site Manager (SM) will manage the construction of the utility-scale photovoltaic project. Concerning day-to-day construction activities at the project site and coordinating the procurement & logistics activities to ensure the construction work front is available for subcontractors and workers. Working with the project manager & PMO team to keep projects on schedule, ensuring construction quality.

Responsibilities:

  • Primary responsibilities include overseeing PV construction, working with the Project Manager to track project construction, keeping the project on schedule, avoiding change orders, ensuring construction quality, and contract administration.
  • Will manage company projects – day-to-day construction activities at the project site and coordinating the procurement & logistics activities to ensure the construction work front is available for subcontractors and workers.
  • Review all construction, commissioning, quality assurance, and quality control work/reporting. Coordinate internal/external engineering support as needed.
  • Review the progress with construction managers and comment on construction benchmark assemblies (i.e., MMS Installation, trenching, wire management, etc.).
  • Provide initial evaluation of all subcontractor payment applications to ensure accuracy relative to actual project construction status.
  • Coordinate day-to-day site administrative and construction operational PV solar activities with the Project Manager/PMO Manager.
  • Provide weekly reports to the Project Manager of internal EPC team developments.
  • Carry out on-site support of pre-commissioning and commissioning.
  • Stay in contact with the company/investor, prepare and conduct meetings with representatives.
  • Provide support to the company in the O&M operation of projects.
  • Travel as needed between project locations.
  • Experience in establishing working relationships and contacts with local authorities.

Required Skills:

  • Academic degree, preferably in the field of renewable energies or engineering.
  • Relevant experience within the EPC renewable energy industry in positions of responsibility.
  • Knowledge of the solar project’s obligatory permitting process, as well as environmental, construction, and energy law.
  • Ability to manage complex projects and multiple stakeholders
  • English and Polish (native speaker or excellent command)
  • Strong general computing skills include Excel, MS Word, MS Project, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
  • Excellent solution-seeking, teamwork, leadership, and communication skills extend across all organisational and management levels.

Work Environment:

  • Typical project site office & construction environment. Around Poland.
