Our client is one of the key investors in renewables in the world. To strengthen their PV and onshore wind development teams, they are looking for a  Senior Project Development Manager for office in Warsaw

 Main Duties:

Reporting to the Business Development Manager, your role will revolve around the following missions:

  • Organic growth:
  • Participate in the development strategy on the territory considered and ensure its implementation for the constitution of a portfolio of solar and wind projects. In particular, you will be responsible for:
    • Development of own wind and photovoltaic projects as well as coordination of our external development partners.
    • Identification of suitable project areas, negotiation with land owners and acquisition of areas for renewable energy projects, coordination of external land agents, together with the land development manager.
    • Negotiation and support in the drafting of leasing, utilization, design and urban development contracts with landowners and authorities. Relying on legal and technical teams,
    • Close contact with community representatives and other political and planning authorities, presentation of the project plans internally and to the authorities in order to obtain their approval
    • Determining the need for planning documents (maps, lists of property owners, etc.), manage their procurement and ultimately their analysis or evaluation.
    • Accompaniment of urban land use planning, coordination of the building permit procedure
    • Coordination with energy supply companies regarding grid connection and contract design
    • Coordination with corporate specialist departments (technical planning, purchasing, sales, etc.)
    • Submit requests for administrative authorization and follow up on their examination with the State services until the authorizations are obtained
    • Work in collaboration with the connection expert to ensure the technical and economic feasibility of the connection solution.
    • Ensure the integrity, consistency and economic and environmental quality of the projects developed in coordination with the environmental expert
    • Project management, coordination of project scheduling, responsibility for project documentation
    • Provide general support as when it is needed during construction phase.
    • Prepare business plans and investment committee files
  • Origination – Inorganic growth:
    • Identify and study partnership and acquisition opportunities for projects at various stages of progress through a detailed analysis from a strategic, technical and economic point of view.
  • Negotiation and establishment of partnerships and/or service provision contracts:
    • As part of the activities related to the creation of the portfolio and the development of projects within your scope, you will be required to identify and collaborate in the negotiation and implementation of partner and/or service delivery contracts, with the legal support
  • Responsible to take the projects form early stage developments/medium stage development to Ready to Built.
  • Others:
    • Provide support to teams in specific missions: calls for expressions of interest, calls for projects, calls for tenders, Non binding Offers, Binding Offers Sales Purchase Agreements, Co development Agreements, etc…
    • Prepare and follow the budgetary needs to ensure the implementation of the growth strategy in the territories of your responsibility.
    • Organize the reporting and the progress of the various projects
    • Ensure continuous monitoring of the market, regional in particular, at a competitive level.

Experience, skills

  • Experience: An experience between 5 to 7 years in the management and success of renewable energy projects (PV and Wind), knowledge of administrative and spatial planning procedures, analysis of opportunities, negotiation of partnership contracts and/or provision of services are sought. Knowledge of mapping software is appreciated
  • Education: degree in Engineering, Business Administration, Legal backgrounds.
  • Proven experience in authorization procedures for utility-scale PV and wind-projects
  • Negotiating skills with a good feel for contact persons as well as the ability to establish and maintain contacts
  • Languages: Good level in English;
  • Desired qualities: Very good interpersonal skills, autonomy, aptitude for teamwork, ability to synthesize, involvement and rigor, efficiency, ability to carry out several projects in parallel and know how to manage priorities.
  • Financial background, economical valuation of investments.
  • Proven experience in medium/high-voltage power grid connection procedures
  • Experienced handling of legal standards such as the Polish renewable energy Building Permits , building law and renewable energy law
  • Enthusiasm and spirit of initiative.
  • Strong taste for the development of relationships and effective and lasting links with local authorities and/or public partners.
  • You master the Office Pack and Winpro , Qgis and Archelios software
  • Driving license B required
