A new exciting role has opened in one of the largest wind turbine manufacturers in Hamburg or Rostock. For their Engineering Department we are looking for Senior Manager Public Funding.

This role will mainly be responsible for:

– Independent development of funding concepts individually adapted to the corresponding specialist
areas such as research & development, service or product management.
– Preparation of funding applications in accordance with the guidelines of the respective funding
programmes, including overall project description, sub-project description, project calculation and
milestone plan
– Communication with the project management organisation, ministries and the EU for the initiation and
application of projects as well as close coordination during project implementation
– Project management on the funding side in accordance with the guidelines of the Federal Government
and the European Commission, incl. instructing and training the technical project managers on all
funding regulations and preparing project reports, payment calls and analyses of deviations from the
plan
– Management of the interface to the respective monitoring authorities, including preparation and main
responsible supervision of external audits/inspections according to German/European price law
– Identification of subsidy programmes and their applicability as well as initiation of potentially
subsidised projects for Company technology and process developments
– Maintaining networks with existing and potential new external project partners as well as Company
management staff and specialists in the relevant fields

Candidates profile:

– Successfully completed university degree in industrial engineering or a comparable qualification with
several years of relevant professional experience in the active support of funding projects from the
application to the project audit.
– Strong technical understanding in the field of wind energy preferably
– Negotiation skills, persuasiveness and confident appearance
– Strong communication and presentation skills
– Fluent in written and spoken English
– Sound IT knowledge in the field of common business software for subsidy management as well as SAP
application
