Our client is one of the leading investors in solar and wind projects in the world with a solid presence in Poland. Currently for their main offices in Warsaw we are looking for a Regulation Lead Expert. Your main accountabilities in this role will be:
- Liaison with Energy Regulatory Office:
- Contacts with URE concerning special inquiries/questions/interpretations;
- Leading auctions processes: prequalification, registering, coordination of bank guarantees/deposits;
- Managing bidding process, including project registration on IPA, ensuring connections, bid verification, offer submission.
- Ensure all post auction processes, including bank guarantees/deposits withdrawn, reporting.
- Managing processes related to Generation Licenses (obtaining new / adjusting existing ones)
- Regulatory/ Lobbying
- Through the presence in wind associations, elaborate wording proposal of regulatory adjustments supporting wind and PV sectors within:
- RES Act
- Location Law
- Supplementary acts, including:
- Ordinance on GC’s quota – monitoring and forecasting GC’s behavior in relation to quota set up;
- Ordinance on volumes and values – including calculation of budgets proposals for auctions;
- Ordinance on reference prices – provide review and justified feedback
- Elaborate periodical information to internal stakeholders concerning regulatory status and expected evaluation.
- Build and maintain relations with key stakeholders, including government decision makers and key administration officers (URE, UDT etc).
- Active participation (preparation and presentation of position supporting RES sector development) in governmental and commissions.
REQUIREMENTS:
- ACADEMIC LEVEL
Degree in Engineering, Business Administration or Economics
- REQUIRED PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE
At least 5 years in Strategy or Management Consulting (in energy area) or in an industrial company in departments linked to strategy, energy planning, regulation or trading.
