Planning and Control Associate

The Planning & Control Associate will execute the business platform’s financial planning and reporting activities. This includes reporting cycles and long and short term planning exercises (budget and business plan). This job involves coordination with the P&C team in Spain and the Country Manager of Poland.

MAIN ACCOUNTABILITIES

  • Support the monthly reporting process by analyzing the platform operational and financial performance and providing detailed explanations for variances to targets
  • Prepare and review financial reporting, ensuring that all group reporting requirements are met in the most efficient, accurate and timely manner
  • Monitor and control revenues and expenses, producing monthly reports and providing explanations for variances to targets
  • Support the budgeting, forecasting, and business plan processes
  • Liaise with corporate and EU&BR planning & control team to deliver on a range of reporting and planning tasks
  • Develop and implement improvements to the reporting processed using databases and data analytics tools
  • Act as a liaison for the company Corporate Planning & Control team and the local team in Poland
  • Work collaboratively with business areas such as Accounting/Consolidation, Operations, Business Development, Mergers & Acquisitions
  • Support in Capex, Opex and Devex analysis
  • Support EU&BR team Poland information necessary to the presentations to the Management Team and Senior Management
REQUIREMENTS

REQUIRED ACADEMIC SKILLS

  • Degree in Management, Economics, Engineering, or Finance related field is preferred

REQUIRED PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE:

  • At least 3 years of relevant experience in Planning & Control, Finance, Consulting or Big 4
  • Knowledge of finance, accounting, budgeting, and cost control principles
  • Well-rounded experience working with MS Office with high proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint
  • Ability to use financial controlling tools (must be proficient in SAP, BI and Excel)
  • Experience in the energy business with exposure to European markets (ability to understand key value drivers of business in different geographies) is a plus

Languages:  Fluent in English. Knowledge of Spanish or Portuguese is a plus.
