Our client is one of the leading investors in Offshore Wind in Poland. For their O&M team we are now searching for an O&M Readiness Engineer to join their office in Gdynia.
Integrated across Offshore Wind Farm operations in this role, you will be responsible for Supporting the operations readiness implementation with definition of O&M strategy and implementation of contracts.
MAIN ACCOUNTABILITIES
Operational Readiness:
- Support in the drafting of O&M procedures , manuals, training strategy.
- Support in the faciliation identification of Contractors required to support the operational phase, drafting the procurement demand plan and contract and procurement policy.
- Support in the development of Operations During Construction costs and technical OPEX assumptions
- Support to the execution of operations and maintenance activities during construction
- Support the Implementation of a WTG & BOP O&M strategy and support the project to achieve O&M readiness. This means: Ensure OEM and Owner´s Maintenance Requirements are aligned and ready to be implemented in the operations. Including set up of ports, offshore access strategy, labor, Health and Safety etc
- Support in establishing O&M requirements, implement and manage a multi-contracting strategy for this purpose.
Internal Technical Competency Development:
- Support in the drafting of roadmap and tracking implementation for BoP & WTG Assets
- Suporting the establishment of budget and resource requirements
- Support in the drafting of Training and staff competency development and mapping
ACADEMIC BACKGROUND
Electrical, Mechanical or Civil Engineering.
LANGUAGES
The project has an international team of employees and the working language is English.
Candidates need to be fluent in English both spoken and written. Polish language will be highly valued.
PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE
- Between 2 and 5 years’ experience.
- Experience working in offshore wind projects on operations and preferably in O&M modelling and definition of maintenance strategy.
- Experience in contract negotiation and management.
- Offshore Wind O&M operational expereince at the operator side is a plus.
KNOWLEDGE
- Knowledge and experience in wind turbine technology is a plus.
- Experienced user of MS office suite.
- Driving license B
SKILLS
- Support OpEx optimization processes.
- Support negotiations and closing O&M service contracts with several OEMs, ISPs and Ports.
- Supporting the development and later the construction of the operational O&M Base.
- Good communications skills, ability lead work streams and to report to project management.
- Analytical thinking, pro activeness, organization and team spirit.
- Ability to manage priorities and flexibility to adapt to changing organizational needs.
- Mature judgment and discretion, dependability and strong work ethic.
- Strong analytical and organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks.
- Be a team player as although the candidate will be expected to be able to work on their own they will also need to work as part of a cross departmental/international team.
The location of the role is in Gdynia, but you need to have flexibility to travel from time to time to supplier’s facilities and offices, local construction ports and constructions sites may be required.
