M&A TECHNICAL PROJECT MANAGER

Our client is a key inverts in renewable energy, primarily focused in solar and BESS projects in Europe with large HQ in Warsaw. For their development vehicle we are now looking for an M&A Technical Project Manager. The role could be home based with regular visits to the company’s HQ in Warsaw when required.

As M&A Project Manager You will report to Head of Technical Transaction Team and be responsible for analysis of renewable energy projects in particular PV and BESS. In this role You will be identifying project risks, assess them and mitigate in transaction documentation (a.o. CP, CS list). The successful candidate will collaborate closely with Origination, Legal M&A, Project Financing teams as also external Technical and Legal Advisors to achieve these goals.

Responsibilities and tasks:

  1. Preparation, verification and analysis of TDD reports (Technical Due Diligence reports). Assessment of risks related to projects of photovoltaic power plants and energy storage facilities purchased by the Company or its Related Entities.
  2. Analysis of LDD reports (Legal Due Diligence reports) in particular project risks related to photovoltaic power plants and energy storage facilities purchased by the Company or its Related Entities.
  3. Active participation in the whole M&A processes of acquiring renewable energy projects, in particular PV projects and energy storage facilities at the RtB stage (Ready to build) or greenfield (projects at an early stage of development), which are conducted by the Company or Related Entities,
  4. Conducting negotiations (scopes, deadlines, penalties) with development companies at the stage of drafting project purchase agreements and the post-transaction list of CP/CS tasks.
  5. Other tasks directly related to the process of purchasing photovoltaic projects and energy storage facilities by the Company or its Related Entities

Desirable qualifications:

  • 3+ years of experience in the PV industry or equivalent
  • Track record in due diligence RES projects or in Development PV/BESS projects
  • Soft skills: ability to teamwork, highly developed communication and interpersonal skills
  • Analytical skills: ability to evaluate the situation, looking for different perspectives, gathering specific information, defining priorities
  • Fluency in English is required (B2 level)
