For our client, an investor in RES projects in Europe, Africa and Latin America, we are currently searching for an experienced Land Acquisition Expert to join one of the most rapidly developing investors in the sector. In this role, you will play an integral part in greenfield project development, focusing primarily on surveying suitable sites in different regions in Bulgaria for renewable energy development and securing land through lease agreements. The role requires excellent communication skills as it involves regular interactions with landowners and community representatives. We are looking for freelancers open to work exclusively for our client and willing to build a solid career within their rapidly developing structures in Bulgaria.

Role Description

• Managing greenfield project development.
• Surveying suitable sites for renewable energy development.
• Researching landowner contact information.
• Securing land through lease agreements.
• Maintaining communication with landowners to support permit development.
• Cooperating with legal experts in land lease agreement documentation.
• Overseeing all land-related legal issues, including transfers of titles, deeds, and zoning.

Requirements

• Min. 3+ years experience in Land Acquisition for new investments
• We prioritize experience in acquiring land for renewable energy projects (solar, wind, mix, other), but any experience in oil and gas, telecom, real estate, etc is welcome.
• Good knowledge of land rights, regulations, zoning and leasing practices in Bulgaria.
• Excellent command of the English and Bulgarian language, written and spoken.
• Independence and high organizational skills.
• A goal-oriented, initiative-taking, and committed attitude.
• Willingness to travel for business.

Ideally to have

• A track record in managing real estate deals or projects
• Knowledge of the renewable energy industry (medium to large scale photovoltaic or wind energy).
