Our client, one of the leaders in product development and manufacturing within the wind energy sector, is now looking for a Product Manager to become part of the product strategy division. In the global product strategy department at you will work with a young and highly motivated team of strategic product managers to improve our current and future product portfolio of wind turbines. The main goal is to ensure a high competitiveness of our products and to deliver them in time, cost and quality to the market including all customer, market and certification requirements. You will work cross-functionally and globally within the compay, at the interface between markets, engineering, supply chain and many more.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Support and manage technical feasibility studies of future product concepts together with an interdisciplinary project team
- Prepare and run product development decisions with top management, including business case, technical concept, market introduction concept and market requirements
- Participate in interdisciplinary turbine development programs ensuring and contributing to a successful product result
- Prepare and moderate strategic decision proposals for top-management and board level
- Contribute to shape the company’s global product strategy by running market and requirement studies, competitiveness assessments and scenario analysis
- Support in optimizing important customer projects
- Regular benchmarking and reporting of competitor products
- Coordinating global search for potential prototyping test sites
- Many more ad-hoc strategic tasks directly from top management
Your Profile
- Technical and/or commercial university degree, ideally with several years of relevant experience in product management, product development or strategy in an industrial environment
- Excellent academic records (Master/Diploma) and letter of recommendation
- Entrepreneurial and strategic mind-set, personality with demonstrated ability to drive topics to success in a complex environment
- Excellent analytical and communicational skills and thorough technical understanding
- Willingness to travel
- Profound knowledge in MS Office and ideally basic programming skills
- Fluency in English
