For their Technical Department we are now searching for a Grid Connection Manager to lead the electrical design and grid connection process during the development phase of the project.\u00a0<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Make an impact on the project development phase:<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Provide technical assistance during project development and ensure the factors influencing and influenced by the grid connection are considered,<\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Carry out technical due diligence and risk assessment on grid connection conditions\/agreements offered by the Polish TSO (PSE) and DNOs (in particular: TAURON Dystrybucja, ENEA Operator, ENERGA Operator, PGE Dystrybucja),<\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Manage Technical Advisors and Consultants to support Grid and Delivery related activities across Poland,<\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Develop and maintain relationships with the Polish TSO and DNOs to support the grid application and delivery process,<\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Manage and be responsible for the process of grid applications ensuring they are submitted in a timely manner. Progress through the Polish TSO\u2019s, DNOs\u2019 and national requirements and processes without delay.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><strong>Take part in projects\u2019 construction phase:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Review the technical designs submitted by HV\/MV contractors or EPCs to company requirements and to achieve cost efficiency without compromising quality,<\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Be responsible for \u201cgrid intelligence\u201d and implementation of new connection methods arising from the Polish TSO\/DNOs policy changes and changing industry standards,<\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Develop and maintain relationships with HV\/MV contractors and EPCs to drive performance and ensure they deliver their services,<\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Develop and maintain relationships with the Polish TSO\u2019s and DNOs\u2019 design and delivery teams ensuring\u00a0 projects progressing smoothly through the project lifecycle,<\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Negotiate and develop grid connections design that reduce installation time and cost whilst maintaining or improving plant performance,<\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Support the operation and maintenance of the plants by providing grid expertise to the Asset Manager &amp; O&amp;M team managers throughout the life of the plant.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><strong>Build, maintain and optimize knowledge databases together with developing expert tools:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Support the business intelligence with GIS spatial data solutions (QGIS, ArcGIS) integrating raster and vector data (including AutoCAD) with the flexibility of Google Earth software,<u><\/u><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Provide and gather cost estimates together with grid connection delivery timescales,<\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Analyze and and track changes of Polish planning documents, e.g. published on websites of the Polish: ERO (URE), TSO\/DNOs, power facilities, industry and sector experts,<\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Aggregate possessed knowledge and documents to have the best possible insight on the current and future situation in the Polish energy sector.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\">KNOWLEDGE<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Strong technical knowledge of EHV, HV (60-400kV) and MV (11 \u2013 30kV) connection works and industry standards, including substations, underground cables and overhead lines is a must,<\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Knowledge of TSO\u2019s\/DNOs\u2019 connection procedures and administrative authorizations required for connection of renewable plants in Poland (including securing interconnection capacity), together with grid code compliance is very important,<\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Ability to work with software mentioned in \u201cDUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES\u201d is important. Experience and practical application of software programming languages (e.g. Python, VBA) is welcomed,<\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Knowledge of the dynamic and power quality compliance studies, power flow\/voltage, stability\/short-circuit (e.g. DIgSILENT, SSE, PLANS), economic dispatch simulations (e.g. PLEXOS) would be beneficial,<\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Candidates with practical knowledge of Polish grids would be given preference.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\">ACADEMICS:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Preferably a degree level qualification associated with electrical power systems and\/or electrical engineering,<\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Candidates with additional qualification in renewable energy especially PV and Wind would be advantageous.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\">EXPERIENCE:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Proven track record &amp; experienced in a similar role,<\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Candidates with experience of working directly for TSO\/DNOs and\/or power system consultancies will be preferred,<\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Good network of contacts across the TSO\/DNOs and EPC\/ICP environment is welcomed,<\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Commercially astuteness and previous experience in the design and construction of PV solar plant would be a plus.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\">PERSONAL QUALITIES:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Effective communicator,<\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Team player,<\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Fast learner,<\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Proactive and positive work attitude,<\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Strong analytical and computing skills,<\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Able to coordinate with multiple internal and external teams,<\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Able to work independently with minimum supervision with keen and dynamic approach to innovation.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Our client offers: A permanent contract, attractive benefits, the chance to visit the European HQ of the company for different company events regularly, training among other benefits.<\/p>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Our client is an international investor in RES projects including solar, wind and battery storage with a global presence and long term experience working in Poland.
