Our client is one of the key players in the offshore wind sector, an investor with international presence in the field. You will be hired directly in the project created LCC and work on a B2B basis cooperating with the owner’s local and international teams. You can become part of the Project Planning Team and participate in all activities in regard of the planning and schedule management for the construction of a large scale Offshore Wind Farm. Key involvement will be development and maintenance of the selected scopes of the Project Programme, as well as working with other Planners, Project Management and wider Project Team, to ensure progress is made and milestones are met. Project Planner will be responsible for managing, reporting and communication of accurate schedule information/data.
MAIN ACCOUNTABILITIES
- PLANNING & PROJECT CONTROL – Use planning software (Primavera P6) to develop, improve and maintain the owned scopes within the Project programme, taking information from all key areas of the project and working with all relevant project team members, to ensure coordination for delivery of objectives on time. Project Planner will take responsibility for the number of disciplines within the Project Programme.
- DEVIATIONS ASSESSMENT: Identify potential deviations and provide solutions to resolve issues that may arise throughout the different phases of the project. When required, prepare “what-if” scenarios.
- PROJECT REPORTING: Ensure a regular reporting of the project activities in order to inform, at any time and whenever requested, necessary parties to ensure that project progress is on track.
- CRITICAL PATH ANALYSIS: Maintain and update project critical path analysis and reporting on key risks of project not achieving milestones.
- COORDINATION WITH PROJECT TEAM – Be proactive in engaging with the project team across disciplines to ensure up to date information is maintained and alignment across Project is achieved. Coordinate and align with other Planning & Controls team members.
- PRIMAVERA SOFTWARE – Together with other Planners, work on the Master and Auxiliary Programmes using the Primavera P6 software. Where required manage interface/ transfer with other planning and analysis software (eg MS Project, MS Excel).
REQUIREMENTS:
ACADEMIC BACKGROUND
- University degree in Engineering, Economics or Mathematics or appropriate professional experience.
PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE
- At least three years’ professional experience working in Planning.
- Experience working with Project Schedule on a large scale construction project. Offshore construction project experience is a plus, but not essential.
KNOWLEDGE
- At least three years’ experience as a planner within a large scale infrastructure or construction environment.
- Knowledge of Primavera P6 and Microsoft Project is essential.
- Excellent organization and reporting skills.
- Demonstrable Business, economic knowledge/experience knowledge of energy or other infrastructure projects.
- Experience of working in a diverse project environment.
- Desirable to have experience of windfarm planning.
- Desirable to have knowledge of polish investment process.
LANGUAGES
- Ability to read, write and speak English fluently is a must, Polish is a plus.
SKILLS
- Stron interpersonal and communication skills.
- Analytical and attention to detail.
- Excellent planning, organisation and reporting skills
- Ability to easily identify and resolve problems
- High competency in MS Excel, PowerPoint and other MS Office applications.
