Port Engineer

The Port Engineer will be the technical lead responsible for ensuring cross-project construction port requirements are identified, completed and implement for the project. 


Responsible for the construction port selection developing a cost benefit analysis considering the different engineering/cost for the ports solutions available for the project. 

Responsible for  planning  and coordinate with the rest of WTG scope of work. 

 TECHNICAL SUPPORT: Provide ongoing and continuous offshore technical support and liaise with other areas of technical department and other departments (Consenting & Environment, Stakeholders, Procurement, H&S, Project Control, etc.) as necessary across the project lifecycle to ensure the successful completion of the project. 

PROJECT CONTROL AND REPORTING: Maintain an effective and systematic planning and control of project offshore works (in what concerns cost, deadline, quality and safety); Ensuring control of the budget, deadline and quality aspect, as well as assessment of contractors/subcontractors involved in the project; Produce monthly project reports outlining progress, budget and safety statistics; Produce other reports as necessary during the course of the project. 


REQUIRED ACADEMIC SKILLS:  Degree in Engineering (M.Sc.). Civil preferred.  

REQUIRED PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE: Between 3 and 5 years. Management of technical documentation.  

 REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE: Experience in offshore construction operations, ports, storage areas and vessel management. 


Skills/Competencies: Ability to travel; Ability to communicate across all levels of an international organization; Ability to interact with suppliers, meet deadlines, work within approved budgets and can demonstrate strong optimization skills.  

Languages: Fluency in Polish and English. 

Other specifications: Location in Gdynia, but travelling to supplier’s facilities and offices, local construction ports and constructions sites may be required.
