INVESTMENT TRANSACTIONS ENGINEERING LEAD ENGINEER

For a key investor in the renewable energy world. Currently for their growing team in Germany we are looking for an engineering that will support the M&A team in the process of evaluation of solar and wind projects for acquisition.

As an Investment Transactions Engineer you will provide technical support and cooperation with the origination teams from each of the operative regions and M&A, for the analysis of business opportunities and initiatives worldwide, related wind farm, PV plant and BESS projects. Compile, process and analyze the technical information needed for the project assessment in order to ensure the application of uniform criteria when considering different investment alternatives enabling the best selection of projects.

MAIN ACCOUNTABILITIES

1. PROJECT TECHNICAL ASSESSMENT:

Define and execute the scope of the technical assessment, according the internal practices the potential new project state: early development, advance development, ready to build, pre- construction, under construction, in commissioning or operational.

As part of it, the following tasks and steps will be performed in order to assess all the technical matters related the wind farm, PV plant or BESS projects and its relevant electrical infrastructures:

o Performthetechnicalanalysisoftheavailableprojectdocuments. o Executetheprojectsitevisitsandreport.

• PROJECT ASSESSMENT:
o Generaltechnicalassessment,includinglocationandphysicalconnections.

o Projectlayoutandfootprintassessment,includinginfluencearea,occupiedlands,noise receptors, existent infrastructures interferences, as HVL, etc.

o Environmentalconditionsassessment,asaltitude,temperature,seismic,wind,etc. o Groundconditionsassessment,includinggeology,geotechnicalandhydrology.
o Electrical system studies assessment,as short circuit study, load flowanalysis, etc.

• PERMITS AND LICENSES TECHNICAL ASSESSMENT
o Identifytheglobalprojectadministrativestate,identifyingtheprincipaltechnicalconstraints

and hazards for getting the final licenses and estimated deadlines.

• WTG TECHNOLOGY ASSESSMENT
o Coordinate with Technology the review of the project WTG model suitability study and the

available IECRE Type certificate and estimated useful life.

o Coordinate with Technology there view the noise study.

o Coordinate with. Technology the review the technical capability of the WTG model and the defined PPC and SCADA system for the grid code compliance.

• WIND FARM ACCESS AND BOB DESIGN ASSESSMENT
o Assess the route survey feasibility and main works and the main access and roads and cranepads design and technical specifications.
o Assess the foundation design, assessing if follows the applicable regulations and standards.

o Assess the MV collection system design.

• PV PLANT PRINCIPAL EQUIPMENT TECHNOLOGY ASSESSMENT
o Coordinate with Technology the review of the selected principal equipment, modules, racking

system and inverters, verifying the technical capability of the inverter model and the defined PPC and SCADA system for the grid code compliance.

o Coordinate with Technology the review of the wind load study of the structure and dynamic stability analysis, concluding the suitability for the site and assessing the expected useful life.

• PV PLANT BOP DESIGN ASSESSMENT
o Assess the route survey to the site,the access and internal roads design and technical specifications.
o Assess the structures foundation design.
o Assess the MV collection system and LV design.

• BESS TECHNOLOGY AND BOP DESIGN ASSESSMENT
o Coordinate with Technology the review of the selected BESS and ESMS ,assessing if complies  the projects capabilities requests.

o Assess the route survey to the site, the access and internal roads design and technical specifications.

o Assess the foundation design of the BESS and inverters containers.
o Assess the MV collection system and the LV auxiliary services design.

• ELECTRICAL INFRASTRUCTURE DESIGN ASSESSMENT
o Coordinate the review of the project substation and interconnection substation designs,

including the HV and MV equipment, the Integrated Control and Protection systems, metering, auxiliary.

o Coordinate the review of the design of the High Voltage Line and materials technical specification.

• CONSTRUCTION ASSESSMENT
For those projects in pre-construction or construction phases, and also for operational projects when applicable, it will be performed a technical assessment including Construction contracts and related warranties, QA/QC plans, Construction planning up to COD.

2. PROJECT PRE-DESIGN

Identify the technical upsides and levers that optimize the project, mitigating identified technical risks, reducing CAPEX and/or increasing the revenues. Execute the needed predesigns of the civil, mechanical and electrical infrastructures of the power plant to implement each of the levers.

3. CAPEX ESTIMATION:

Prepare an accurate and optimum CAPEX estimation of the potential project or investment opportunity.

Prepare the CAPEX estimation for the additional studied scenarios through the executed pre- engineering.

4. RISK ASSESSMENT:

Evaluate the technical risk of the project, identifying all the factors that could affect the development, design, construction and commissioning of the future power plant and assessing its probability potential consequences.

5. PROJECT PLANNING ASSESSMENT

Assess the project master plan from the Vendor, considering the inputs related permitting from the Business Development area, and developing the own schedule for the engineering, procurement and construction phases.

6. CONTRACTS ASSESSMENT:

Support the Legal, M&A and Business Development teams along the preparation of the Supplemental Purchase Agreements and Development Service Agreements, ensuring that all the agreed technical scopes and conditions are well covered.

7. TRANSVERSAL SUPPORT COORDINATION:

Ensure the coordination of service provision from the Local E&C team and the different Technology areas, as Civil & Mechanical, Electrical & Control, PV Technology, BESS Technology, and BESS engineering.

Coordinate the planned works and project information continuously and effectively to cross- functional teams, collaborate closely with various departments including M&A, Development, Origination, Procurement, Finance, Energy Assessment and O&M.

8. REPORTING:

Produce the projects preliminary principal finding reports and the final Technical Due Diligence report including the technical assessment,

Actively develop and manage reports to management by producing regular and frequent project status updates and other reporting documents.

9. PROJECT DUE DILIGENCE TENDERS:

Prepare the RfPs for contracting the engineering and studies to external consultants. Review and evaluate the offers ensuring the selection of the best offer.

10. COORDINATION OF PROJECT TRANSFER:

Lead the transfer of the acquired projects to the Local E&C Team, ensuring the delivery of the full package of the VDR technical information and the developed information along the project technical assessment and pre-engineering.

11. STANDARDIZATION:

Follow the application of the common standards in the projects, supervising its adaptation to applicable local regulation, in order to avoid non justified deviations and maximize the investment efficiency with all the technical warranty needed.
