Our client is one of the leading companies in renewable energy, one of the leaders in product manufacturing and services in the sector. For their Ukrainian team we are now looking for a Commissioning Engineer located anywhere in Ukraine.

Purpose of the role

The primary responsibility of this role is to manage the commissioning process of wind turbines, ensuring compliance with safety and quality standards. Additionally, the role includes Site Technical Advisor duties to oversee site activities during project execution.

Main Responsibilities

• Organize and execute the commissioning process for wind turbines.
• Ensure compliance with the company procedures and HSE standards.
• Perform turbine and subsystem start-up, including SCADA systems.
• Complete commissioning documentation and submit to relevant departments.
• Report progress, quality issues, and non-conformities (NCR, Q-Notes).
• Identify and resolve technical issues during commissioning.
• Coordinate turbine energization and de-energization with SAP.
• Support resource planning for commissioning activities.
• Carry out quality inspections on site according to project quality plan.
• Provide weekly progress reports and risk assessments.

Additional Responsibilities

• Collaborate with Project Manager on site planning and execution.
• Support and advice for the client and their subcontractors on technical issues and project execution.
• Manage HSE systems, including permit-to-work and LOTO.
• Conducting subcontractor acceptance inspections in accordance with the project schedule.
• Conduct HSE briefings and site inspections.
• Coordinate subcontractors and suppliers.
• Monitor quality and schedule during erection and commissioning phases.
• Organize logistics, tools, and material management.
• Report KPIs to Project Manager.
• Maintain communication with local authorities and customers.

Requirements

• Documented experience in maintenance or commissioning of facilities containing extensive automation and control systems.
• Technical degree in Electrical and Mechanical.
• Strong knowledge of HSE standards and project execution.
• Proficiency in MS Office and technical documentation.
• Fluent in English; additional languages are an asset.
• Excellent organizational and leadership skills.
• Ability to work on a rotational basis and travel frequently.
