SENIOR ASSET MANAGER WIND AND SOLAR PLANTS

Our client is a global investor in wind and solar project. Currently we are looking for an Asset Manager for their team in Bucharest to support the Asset Operations Manager for Romania in maximizing the profitability of the assets, managing their P&L, project SPVs, key contracts and obligations, shareholders and stakeholders’ relationships. Support other departments to guarantee they can efficiently provide their services for the project and lead internal initiatives to drive long-term asset returns.

MAIN ACCOUNTABILITIES

  1. LAND MANAGEMENT
    1. Follow all activities related to the land management, preparation of documentation, obtaining and tracking of permits, renegotiation and modification of contracts, ensuring on-time payments, change of owners management, notifications to landowners, support in juridical processes.
    2. Ensure best relationship with land owners and facilitate the resolution of disputes
    3. Support the monitoring and updating of the information database and land contracts, in coordination with Project Management and Business Development departments.
    4. Follow all activities related to the land management, preparation of documentation, obtaining and tracking of permits, renegotiation and modification of contracts, ensuring on-time payments, change of owners management, notifications to landowners, support in juridical processes.
  1. LIAISE WITH STAKEHOLDERS
    1. Ensure liaison with Municipalities and other relevant local stakeholders
    2. Manage communication & sponsoring initiatives at local level
    3. Manage and drive resolution of claims arising from local stakeholders (TV, noise, etc.)
  1. BUDGET AND REPORTING
    1. Ensure follow-up of production & expenses with regards to the approved budget
    2. Perform cost deviation and P&L analysis in coordination with Finance and P&C departments and providing all required data
    3. Monitor and report about the proper functioning of the energy measuring equipment to grant a reliable source of data and comply with the sale of Energy obligations.
    4. Support the cost deviation and P&L analysis in coordination with Finance and P&C departments and providing all required data.
    5. Collaborate to the preparation of the yearly budget and to the operational reporting
    6. Elaborate management reports to follow-up on companies’ performance, from different perspectives: financial, technical, energy market, etc.
    7. Provide data for the preparation of the budget for SPVs, with the objective to maximize the profitability of the assets.
  1. ENERGY MANAGEMENT
    1. Support the management of the Power Purchase Agreement counterparties (“off-takers”) coordinating with Energy Management and local administration
    2. Manage the reimbursement of TSO curtailments, ensuring an adequate level of refunded revenues and coordinate other departments to maintain high level of compliance
    3. Manage electricity supply contracts of operational projects, checking the related invoices and developing related monitoring tools
  1. INSURANCE AND CRISIS MANAGEMENT
    1. Provide support on all the activities related to the insurance claim process (communications, documentation management, impact evaluation, expert compliance, acceptance/settlement) coordinating with the Central Asset Operation
    2. Follow-up on insurance claims, monitoring progresses, taking measures toward deviations.
    3. Monitor crisis and unexpected events by consolidating available information and notifying to any relevant internal or external stakeholder about the progress of the crisis.
  1. O&M COLABORATION
    1. Support the Head of Asset Operation reviewing the main activities (GC, availabilities, preventives, QAQC, etc) for the definition of the Action Plan related to O&M deviations.
    2. Support in the process related to the bidding for new contractors (RFP, EoW, EoC).
    3. Support O&M in the activities related to the accomplishment of the corrective actions (permitting, landowners, administration, etc).
  1. BUSINESS EFFICIENCY
    1. Investigate on business efficiency improvement opportunities over the portfolio, present business cases for management approval and drive implementation of the selected improvement initiatives.
    2. Contribute to the continuous improvement asset management processes by leading specific improvement projects.
    3. Monitor all drivers to detect deviations, defining Action Plans in coordination with other departments’ Responsible
    4. Ensure compliance with the business standardization across different platforms, sharing the best practice.
  1. ENVIRONMENTAL DEP COLABORATION
  1. Collaboration with the Env. Department in order to ensure compliance with environmental regulations.

REQUIRED PROFILE

  1. ACADEMIC LEVEL

 Degree in Energy/Electrical/Mechanical Engineering/Economics or equivalent

  1. REQUIRED PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE

 1/3 years in the Renewables Energy sector

  1. SPECIFIC KNOWLEDGE
  • Microsoft Office package and cooperative tools
