In this position you will be working with a medium size international financial team and will have the chance to be the right hand of the company in terms of finance accounting of the German entities of the company. The position requires experience and education within accounting and reporting  focused on German GAAP (HGB) and IFRS. Knowledge of German tax regulations would be – a nice to have – advantage (although not mandatory). The role could be home-based, although Warsaw and Wrocław would be preferred locations as other financial teams are located in these cities. The tasks shall focus on supporting three company’s  legal entities in Germany (production, trading and corporate services) allowing you to gain experience and knowledge on the full life cycle of the product and company activity.

Primary tasks:

• Accounting – monitor the Legal Entities’ Balance Sheet and P&L (HGB and IFRS), Key figure analysis, report abnormalities; monitor statutory accounts and prepare annual statutory accounts in alignment with company Group Accounting,
• Primary interface to the company’s Shared Service Centre
• In addition (also in function of your personal experience) support company accounting for other Group entities in Europe
• Other administrative matters – support German management and operational functions regarding administrative tasks
• Reporting line: company Head of Accounting and Consolidation (sitting in Poland)

Requirements:

• Min. 4-5 years relevant work experience in accounting roles in the manufacturing (or related) industry
• Very good knowledge of HGB and solid of IFRS, incl. practical experience in preparing financial statements and accompanying reports under HGB
• Practical knowledge of tax laws and related hands-on experience (nice to have)
• Strong analytical skills with proficiency in financial analysis and reporting
• Diligent, detail-oriented, strong organizational skills and compliance mindset
• Solid know how of SAP (S/4 Hana) and Excel
• Good communication and interpersonal skills in an international context, capable of engaging with diverse internal and external stakeholders
• Education: min. Bachelor degree in Business Administration, Finance, Accounting (or similar)
• Language: very good knowledge of German, English and Polish
