Our client is a global investor in offshore wind project with projects already under operation outside of Poland. For their Polish offshore project we are looking for additional team members in the environmental department who will support the Environmental Manager in pre-construction and construction environmental monitoring. You will also have the chance to participate in the future in early stage development phases of the project. Experience in EIA for infrastructure projects as well as inspections on the construction site are a must for this position. The company has an office in Gdynia where they already have a well-established team of professionals from different specialisations within the renewable energy industry.
MAIN ACCOUNTABILITIES
• Coordinating environmental supervision of the construction process onshore and
offshore, including communication with contractors in charge of the environmental
supervision and construction.
• Supervising construction contractor environmental documentation.
• Preparing tenders for environmental services necessary to implement during the
construction and operational phase.
• Environmental reporting to regulatory authorities, banks and shareholders.
• Cooperation with the ESG team.
• Cooperation with stakeholder manager in relation to environmental aspects of the
construction process.
• Liaising with regulatory authorities and stakeholders to ensure compliance with
environmental regulations, standards and permits.
• Managing environmental documentation of the project, including the georeferenced
data resources on environment.
ACADEMIC BACKGROUND
A degree in Environmental Science, Environmental Engineering or equivalent is required.
LANGUAGES
The project has an international team of employees and the working language is English.
Candidates need to be fluent in English both spoken and written. Other languages will be highly valued.
PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE
Minimum 4-5 years’ professional experience, preferably in the construction projects at sites is required.
KNOWLEDGE
• Good understanding of environmental legislation and compliance requirements
• Acting as environmental advisor/auditor
• Knowledge of the offshore wind sector would be an advantage
SKILLS
• Advanced user of QGIS, capable of conducting basic spatial
analyses, retrieving information, creating layers and projects
• Solid knowledge of Microsoft Office suite (Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, etc.)
• Good communication skills
OTHER REQUIREMENTS
Flexibility and willingness to travel, to the construction site.
Driving licence, B category is required.
