Our client is one of the largest wind turbine manufacturers in Poland and the world. For their regional maintenance and operations team we are looking for a Local Operations Manager to manage the region of Wielkopolskie in Poland. The person will not only be a contact point for the Teams Leaders and O&M Supervisors in terms of operational and technical aspects and solutions, but also be the main point of contact for the clients of the company- hence experience in liaising with clients or some client exposure is a must.

Responsibilities:

• Manage a team of Service Technicians and Coordinator to ensure completion of their allocated service activities within the specified time frames and to the required standards
• Ensure availability of wind turbine
• Generate and use KPI’s to monitor team, individuals’ and wind farm performance and take action as appropriate to share successes, address shortfalls and make improvements
• Communicate with customers and follow up on customer requests
• Coordinate and control subcontractors
• Recruitment and development of Service Technicians including identification of training needs and delivery of on site training and coaching on best practise to create and maintain a high performing team
• Implement internal and external HSE regulations
• Prepare calculations and quotations according to customer demands within the daily operational business
• Local spare parts stocks supervision and materials management
• Direct coordination of site works in case of need of specific support and consultation with head quarter and external experts
• Regular site visits and participation in customer meetings

Who we are looking for:

1. An experienced professional with experience in management of large technical teams
2. Ideally experience in wind or any other energy generation experience will be a plus
3. Excellent communicator in both Polish and English able to coordinate and manage large technical teams and complex operations
4. Experience with client liaising
5. Technical background in electrical, mechanical or industrial engineering
