Our client is one of the leading Offshore Wind investors in the world with advanced projects in Poland. Currently we are searching for a Head of Development to lead their Development team. As their projects are already quite advanced- it is essential the person in this position has a good understanding of the permitting during development, pre-construction and during the construction phase of large-scale energy projects.

DESCRIPTION
Leads project development activities in the country, both for onshore and offshore part of the infrastructure.
MAIN ACCOUNTABILITIES
• Lead development of projects already owned by the Company, identifying critical steps
and ensuring projects achieve ready-to-build stage under most competitive conditions
within the shortest timeline possible.
• Identifiy key stakeholders and ensure local stakeholders relationship management
through all phases of the Project in order to prevent and resolve potential opposition
that may occur with project implementation.
• Supervise all permitting related activities including environmental, land securing,
location permits for both onshore and offshore infrastructure.
• Where required, support the company’s work in monitoring and engaging in regulatory
matters associated with the development and construction of offshore wind farm
projects.
• Report progress on permitting work during the project construction phase.
• Support origination activities defined as new greenfield or M&A opportunities in the
market and participate in the implementation.
ACADEMIC BACKGROUND
Degree in Engineering or Management discipline.
LANGUAGES
Fluent in Polish and English. Any other language is a plus.
PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE
• 10 years experience in RES project development activities and stakeholders management in Poland
• Experience in a multi-disciplinary project environment is required.
KNOWLEDGE
• Demonstrable knowledge in consenting processes associated with offshore wind farms
in Poland is required.
• Demonstrable knowledge in wind farm and transmission asset development timescales
is required.
• Demonstrable knowledge in offshore wind energy supply chain and logistics is required.
• Demonstrable knowledge in planning and consenting processes associated with onshore
and offshore transmission assets is required.
SKILLS
• Excellent communication skills.
• Strong interpersonal skills.
• Ability to easily identify and resolve problems
• Develop a general overview and understanding of projects.
