Environmental Associate Offshore Wind

For the OW Ocean Winds team in Poland we are now looking for an experienced professional for the Environmental Specialist role.  The Offshore Environmental Associate will support all the issues related with environmental conditions of project development.Whilst the focus of this role will be on currently developed offshore projects, it is also expected that the role will provide ad-hocsupport as Ocean Winds investigates new offshore wind opportunities.
MAIN ACCOUNTABILITIES
▪Support supervision on surveys and preparation of EIA report for offshore wind farm.▪Support supervision on surveys and preparation of EIA report for evacuation infrastructure.▪Where required, represent the investor in and supervise administrative procedure of environmental decision for offshore wind farm and evacuation infrastructure.▪Oversee and analyse otherenvironmental procedures of offshore wind farms to assess potential cumulative effect and other constraints.▪Report progress on environmental permitting work during the project development phase.▪Support development of environmental permitting including works and consultations of any relevant Legal Acts, Programmes etc.Where required, support the company’s work in monitoring and engaging in regulatory matters associated with environmental aspects of development and construction of offshore wind farm projects.
ACADEMIC BACKGROUND
A masters/bachelor degree in environmental engineering/science.

PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCEA minimum of 4 years’ experience within the wind energy sector is required. Experience in thedevelopment phase of projects is preferred. Experience in offshore wind development is desirable.
KNOWLEDGE
Experience in a multi-disciplinary project environment is required. Demonstrable knowledge in all of the following areas is required:▪Consenting processes associated with offshore/onshore wind farms in Poland▪Environmental procedures in Poland▪Methodology of necessary offshore wind energy surveys▪Spatial regulations of offshore wind energy▪Development of powerline investments▪Wind farm and transmission asset operation and maintance form environmental perspective
