We are looking for an experienced Road Works Manager to join an international construction and renewable energy project in Lithuania. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing and coordinating road construction works on site, ensuring that all activities are carried out in accordance with Lithuanian construction regulations, project requirements, quality standards and safety procedures.

This is a site-based position, requiring a hands-on approach and regular presence at the construction site.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage and coordinate road construction works throughout the project lifecycle.
• Supervise subcontractors and coordinate day-to-day road works activities on site.
• Ensure that construction works are carried out in compliance with Lithuanian construction law, technical regulations and administrative requirements.
• Coordinate with subcontractors, suppliers, local authorities and other project stakeholders.
• Monitor the quality, progress and proper execution of road construction works.
• Review construction documentation and ensure compliance with approved designs and technical requirements.
• Support planning and scheduling of road works and monitor progress against project milestones.
• Identify and resolve technical and operational issues arising during construction.
• Cooperate with the wider project team, including civil, electrical and project management teams.
• Maintain effective relationships with local construction companies, subcontractors and material suppliers.
• Ensure compliance with applicable health, safety and environmental requirements.
• Prepare and provide regular updates on the progress of road works.

Requirements

• Valid authorisation to manage/drive road construction works, including registration in the SSVA system.
• Proven experience in a Road Works Manager, Road Construction Manager, Site Manager or similar position.
• Good knowledge of Lithuanian construction law and administrative procedures.
• Practical knowledge of the Lithuanian construction market, including local contractors, subcontractors and material suppliers.
• Experience in managing construction works and subcontractors on site.
• Ability to work independently and take responsibility for the successful execution of road works.
• Lithuanian language – fluent/professional level.
• English – minimum B1 level.
• Polish language would be an additional advantage.
• Willingness to work stationary at the construction site.
• Category B driving licence.
• Good organisational, communication and problem-solving skills.
