Our client is a global Independent Power Producer (IPP) developing, building, and operating wind, solar, and BESS projects across Europe. For their Polish office, we are currently seeking a Financial Modeller with prior experience in the energy sector and a proven track record in financial support for M&A transactions or energy-related financial services.
Main Accountabilities

Prepare financial models and analyses for renewable energy projects, with a strong focus on new development opportunities, including:

Creating, maintaining, and reviewing financial models for renewable energy plants and energy storage projects, with particular attention to financing and taxation structures

Assessing the profitability of potential investment opportunities and preparing scenario analyses and optimization proposals

Support acquisition, due diligence, and financing processes in collaboration with internal stakeholders

Maintain and update financial models for Polish projects already acquired, forming part of the base valuation scenario (quarterly updates)

Launch, modify, and review financial models for contracted renewable energy projects within the existing portfolio

Collaborate closely with Finance, Asset Management, Commercial, and Development teams to gather and validate model inputs

Respond to ad hoc requests from key stakeholders regarding the country’s NAV model

Support day-to-day decision-making related to project implementation by maintaining existing models and preparing additional scenario analyses for other departments
The Ideal Candidate Will Have

Minimum 3 years of experience in financial modelling within the energy or infrastructure sector

Strong understanding of the European energy market, including the PPA market
-
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills

Advanced ability to create, interpret, and review financial models

High level of English proficiency

Proactive mindset with strong market awareness
