The Electrical Manager is responsible for leading the technical and engineering electrical team in the Project Organization ensuring integrity in electrical system design (inter-array and export cables, on/offshore substations, grid code compliance, grid connection point regulation, etc.)and its implementation in the different work packagesHe or she will also provide support to other areas in electrical related topics and ensure the project in compliant with the relevant regulation both at industry and local level and engaged with stakeholders like TSO and regulatory bodies.
Accountability for the technical analysis and definition of the electrical work packages onshore and offshore and grid connection and for ensuringthat electrical activities are in accordance with applicable standards (e.g. the Grid Code), legislation, ethics, and good practices across the offshore wind farms industry, tender requirements, regulatory aspects and project policiesResponsible for preparing, elaborating and providing all the specifications and technical documentation to allow Project’s engagement with the correspondent subcontractors and to evaluate the suppliers, with the intention of guaranteeing the correct application, bidding, construction and operation, ensuring that the determining factors established by the Permitting department, Environmental and other departments are met.Provides technical support to other areas of the technical department and other departments as necessary across the project lifecycle to ensure the successful completion of the project; Ensure the correct coordination of interfaces with other Project working packages, guaranteeing the quality of the input/output on time, ensuring the correct management of package and project documentation is performed. Development and management of risk management plans of the related packages as part of an overall project risk management strategy.Produce monthly project reports outlining progressandbudget as required by project management. LANGUAGES The project has an international team of employees and the working language is English.Candidates need to be fluent in English both spoken and written. Polish will be will be highly valued.
A minimum of 10 years’ experience within the power / energy sector with experience of working on electrical systems between 33kVand 400kV is essential. Relevant experience in the design, installation and commissioning of HV and EHV systems is required.Experience in a senior role in the offshore wind sector is essentialvaluing experience across all project phases.Experience of the Polish gridregimeand is required. Experience of engaging with regulatory bodies and industry trade bodies through participation in working groups (or similar) is desirable.Contractual negotiation experiencewill be valued. Engineering cost-benefit analysis.KNOWLEDGEKnowledge of electrical system design/study/analysis processes and techniques is essential.Specific knowledge of the standards associated with electrical system design of grid connected power projects in Poland is required.
Direct experience and specific knowledge of the design, construction and commissioning of electrical transmission assets and offshore cables is essential.Specific knowledge of electrical and Scada aspects of wind turbine technology is desirable.Knowledge of the latest legislation and guidance of the management of health and safety is also required.
Ability to communicate across all levels of the project team and to support (and manage where required) the relationship with external stakeholders.Proactive to identify and resolve problems, and to findoptimizations and improvements. A pro-active approach to project and contract management in order to identify risks and opportunities early and initiate appropriate actions.Capability to lead the electrical team, negotiate with suppliersand engage with stakeholders.Ability to work within approved budgets and under deadline pressure.
OTHER REQUIREMENTS Location in  Warsaw, but travelling to supplier’s facilities and offices, local construction ports and constructions sites may be required.
