Our client is one of the largest renewable energy investors in Romania and a globally one of the leaders in the industry. For their local team in Bucharest they are now looking for a an Accountancy Associate to join their financial department. The Accounting Associate is a key role partnering with Accounting Teams to deliver the highest quality financial analysis and support to assist in strategic decision-making.

MAIN ACCOUNTABILITIES

• Checks and registers the accounting documents;
• Prepares and books the accounting estimations, accruals and allocations;
• Participates in the month-end and year-end closing;
• Prepares and submits monthly/quarterly/annual reports to the relevant authorities
• Assists in the preparation of statutory financial statements, including preparation of supporting documentation and information required by external auditors
• Verifies the vendor invoices performs the payments, and coordinates with the vendor for any discrepancies;
• Involved in internal & external audits to improve processes and procedures;
• Ensures the proper recording of financial activities according to statutory reporting requirements and corporate policies;
• Provides support to the Chief Accountant and to Head of Department for various reports and analyses

REQUIRED PROFILE

1. ACADEMIC LEVEL

• Bachelor/Master’s Degree in Accounting/Finance

2. REQUIRED PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE

• 2 years+ experience in accounting – exposure to an international accounting environment is a plus

3. SPECIFIC KNOWLEDGE

• Good knowledge of Romanian bookkeeping, accounting according to Romanian GAAP;
• Professional Microsoft Excel
• SAP experience is a plus

4. LANGUAGES

• Romanian native;
