Our client is a well-known company with a team already in place in Poland operating in the Distributed Generation area with a number of projects already under operation in Poland. They are mainly focused on larger industrial and commercial projects.
Currently we are searching for a key position in their team- a Country Manager with a strong knowledge of the Distributed Generation Market in Poland as well as strong commercial and business development abilities. A proven record of success in this sector either as an Operational, Commercial or Technical high level professional is required for this position. We are looking for a strong personality with ability to manage teams, implement strategies successfully, someone with a strong focus on sales and business development with the ability to inspire the team.
Please note POLISH LANGUAGE IS A MUST FOR THE ROLE as well as PREVIOUS EXPERIENCE IN DG (decentralised energy) IS MANDATORY. CANDIDATES WITHOUT THIS EXPERIENCE/KNOWLEDGE WILL NOT BE TAKEN INTO ACCOUNT.
BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT
Define and execute the company’s strategy for the Polish market, aligned with group objectives.
Identify market opportunities in decentralized energy solutions (e.g., solar PV, self-consumption, energy efficiency, storage).
Analyze regulatory frameworks, competitive landscape, and customer needs to guide strategic decisions.
Develop and manage the country business plan, including revenue targets and growth roadmap.
COMMERCIAL KNOWLEDGE AND LEADERSHIP
Drive commercial performance and ensure achievement of sales and profitability targets.
Build and lead the local sales organization, focusing on key segments such as industrial, commercial, and logistics sectors.
Develop strategic partnerships with key stakeholders (clients, developers, EPCs, financial partners).
Oversee negotiation of major contracts and key deals.
OPERATIONS
Ensure efficient delivery of projects, from origination to execution and commissioning.
Coordinate with internal teams (engineering, procurement, operations) and external partners.
Monitor project pipeline, timelines, and margins.
Ensure compliance with local regulations and company standards.
CORPORATE SUPPORT
Recruit, lead, and develop a high-performing local team across functions.
Foster a strong company culture aligned with the company’s values and mission.
Promote collaboration between local and international teams.
Set clear objectives, KPIs, and performance management processes.
BUDGET AND FINANCIAL MANAGEMENT
Own the P&L for Poland, ensuring sustainable growth and profitability.
Manage budgets, forecasts, and financial planning.
Optimize resource allocation and cost efficiency.
Work closely with finance teams on reporting and performance analysis.
STAKEHOLDER EXPOSURE AND MANAGEMENT
Act as the main representative of the company in Poland.
Build relationships with key market players, regulators, associations, and partners.
Support brand positioning and visibility in the market.
Engage with the international leadership team on strategic alignment.
RISK AND COMPLIANCE MANAGEMENT
Identify and mitigate business risks (regulatory, operational, financial).
Ensure compliance with local laws, industry standards, and internal policies.
Maintain high standards of governance and ethical business conduct.
