Contract Acquisition Specialist / Cost Estimator (m/f/d) – German Market, Renewable Energy Sector

Work location: Düsseldorf (Germany) or Toruń (Poland) / hybrid model
(work arrangement to be agreed, e.g. 1 day in the office, 4 days remote)

Salary range: employment contract; freelance contract is also possible with an attractive salary and additional benefits
Business trips: approx. 10–20% of working time – mainly within Germany, occasional trips to Poland (e.g. company meetings)

Scope of responsibilities:

• Interpreting the Investor’s requirements in order to prepare cost estimates, offers and budgets in the format required by the Investor

• Requesting quotations from suppliers, subcontractors and other project-specific resources; market monitoring, negotiations with bidders, and evaluation of offers based on competence and reliability

• Analyzing project documentation and verifying it from a technological, optimization and financial perspective in cooperation with designers and the construction/site manager

• Preparing cost estimates for renewable energy projects as well as general construction works

• Preparing tender offers based on tender specifications (SIWZ), descriptions of the subject of the contract (OPZ), project documentation and own calculations, including quantitative analysis of individual bill-of-quantities items

• Close cooperation with the Investor and with execution and design departments

• Ongoing cooperation with other departments of the company

Requirements:

• Higher technical education (university degree), preferably in electrical engineering or power engineering

• Knowledge of construction processes and regulations applicable in Germany

• German language proficiency at a minimum intermediate level (B2)

• English language proficiency at a minimum intermediate level (B2)

• At least one year of experience in a similar position on the German market

• Ability to read and interpret technical project documentation

• Category B driving licence

• Willingness to travel on business (mainly within Germany)

• Knowledge of material and service prices in the renewable energy sector

• Very good command of MS Office (especially MS Excel and MS Project) and CAD software
